Wat Thoong Hiang welcomes disciples and devotees of LP Boon, abbot of Wat Thoong Hiang, to attend “2015 Krob Kru-Wai Kru Ceremony” and to also make merit in conjunction with LP Boon’s 84th birthday celebration.
Event Schedule @ Wat Thoong Hiang, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi, Thailand:
14 Feb 2015 (Saturday)
- 7.00am: Presentation of offerings to 109 monks and novices
- 8.00am: Opening blessing by 10 high ranked monks and start of Wai Kru ceremony
- 8.30am: Krob Kru ceremony and to perform Krob Kru for disciples and devotees
- 11.00am: Offering lunch dana to 200 monks and novices
- 3.30pm: Thaksinanupathan – 300 Phra Sangkathikan (high monks) have been invited for this ceremony (Thaksinanupathan is a ceremony to dedicate merits to spirits and those who have passed on)
15 Feb 2015 (Sunday)
- 10.00am: Opening blessing ceremony by 85 high ranked monks
- 11.00am: Offering lunch dana to 500 monks and novices
- 12.30pm: Song Nam ceremony for LP Boon (Song Nam is a ritual to pay respect to the elderly by pouring water on their hands)
- 2.09pm: Casting of LP Boon 5″ lap bucha – Roon Sae Yid 84 (84th anniversary batch)
This event offers disciples and devotees a chance to show gratitude to LP Boon and to make merit at the same time. The merit will bring auspiciousness, prosperity, safety, success and fulfilment to all who participate. Chok dee na!
